MAKI-ZUSHI: Rolled Sushi

Ingredients(serves one)

  • Vinegared rice
    • 3 cups boiled rice (1 cup = 200cc)
    • 60cc vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 sheets nori (dried laver seaweed)
  • Favourite ingredients (salmon, avocado, etc.)


  1. Mix the vinegar, sugar and salt and then add it to the boiled rice while the rice is still warm, then cool it down to room temperature.
  2. Place one sheet of nori in the centre of a bamboo mat. Spread 200cc of vinegared rice onto the sheet leaving a 1cm gap at the top and bottom.
  3. Make sure to spread more rice on the upper part for easy rolling.
  4. Arrange the ingredients in rows on the upper 2/3 area of the rice.
  5. Roll the bamboo mat from the bottom by wrapping and pushing the sushi gently to make a roll shape.
  6. Remove the mat and cut the sushi into slices for serving.
